By Passing Your Superior
As one of previous postings has just alluded to, I am having an issue with my ultimate boss at the moment.
There is something that I am not happy with and she has made what I think is an unreasonable request.
I am due to have a one-to-one shortly with the CEO of the operation. I get on well with him and have a good personal rapport. I am thinking of bridging the above issue with him.
I am wary of this approach as I believe that it is fraught with danger: it runs the risk of backfiring and of me crossing my line manager.
It is also contrary to the inherent loyalty that I naturally exude as a person with Asperger syndrome; to a degree I feel it even has a dishonest angle to it.
I am going to give it some thought but feel I may have to do so. What I feel I need to do beforehand is think through the consequences and what my ultimate objective (and the price I am prepared to pay) is.
