Learning Re-enforcement
I have posted a few times about how it takes me longer to learn things and fundamental, underlying concepts. Effectively doing the latter assists enormously in my learning and has helped me to acquire some really important material that I have had to utilise at work.
As I have also said previously, I have found that I need to practice "rehearsal" in order to achieve this: go over the same lessons a few times to ensure that the material is really absorbed and becomes second nature.
This week I booked onto an intermediate Excel (spreadsheet) course at my new job. I have done this course before.
I want to become highly proficient in Excel because it would be really helpful in relation to the type of work I do. I wouldn't actually use it very much in my current role - if not at all actually - but the course is a good opportunity to re-inforce past learning whilst not under any pressure!
