Creating the Right Impression

It was an important day at work today and I was participating in an important event.

Consequently, I took the trouble to put on a good suit to look the part.

Two people - a colleague and a customer noticed and commented upon it which, I have to say, made me feel quite good.

The importance of impressions is increasingly becoming apparent to me. In the past the only thing that has really been of a concern to me is feeling comfortable in what I wear.

That is important for some with Asperger of course. However, I am beginning to appreciate the benefits of being noticed as well.

People do notice and, if things are negative in this area, will make a note and comment - though not directly to you of course.

The lesson - and benefit - works the other way too!
