Contemporary Information
In my new role I am having to do a lot of reading about my subject matter or area of professionalism - marketing.
It is the first time in years that I have had to step back and review what I am working on from a top line perspective.
I am finding it illuminating, invaluable and very refreshing. Its made me aware of priciples and issues that I suspect I may have forgotten about somewhat.
What is interesting from an Asperger perspective, is that I think I may have over the last few years slipped into my routine or a mode of thinking that is set. The result is that I have not been stretching my thought processes and thinking outside the box to add to my knowledge or skill base.
What I am currently experiencing is, of course, change. Its been a useful reminder of the need to not allow myself personally to slip back into my comfortable routines - at least from a business/career perspective.

I think it's a good idea to keep some established routines whilst still being open to new thoughts and opportunities. This is because if we don't have a base of stability, life will become very chaotic and difficult to deal with. This can happen anyway but why borrow trouble unless it's really necessary?
