What age does age discrimination start ?
I have heard it can start at the age of 35 but it generally starts at the age of 40.
A person should have careers related experience at the age of 40.

I don't think that there is a timescale or limit to all of this.
I doubt whether many firms would admit to one either. If they did it may well be illegal. From a perspective of having Asperger syndrome I would almost certainly have thought that it was contrary to the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).
I think from a personal perspective the best thing to do is not to allow it to become a concern. It may or may not exist but wherever one is on the age range you just have to deal with it.
If you are older there are methods one can use to get around it. Building personal networks is, I believe, a good one.
